What’s a good DVD ripping program - trying to copy our wedding DVD onto the computer?

I need a program that will convert the DVD to either .wmv or .avi format as well. If there’s one for free, that would be even better - I have very little extra money to spend on a program that I’ll only use for this one purpose.

But if I have to buy one for it, I will… I’d just prefer a free one.
