What is the difference between Domestic Anime DVD and Import Anime DVD?

I have seen on many Anime shop websites that they have to Anime DVD sections, Import DVD and Domestic DVD, can anyone tell me what is the difference?… I guess that it could be because of the dialog translation. But still, the price on the Import DVD is much much lower. Can anyone tell? Many thanks

HERE IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE:
I have purchased both and the Menus are different; the subtitles are not professionally done (a lot of mistakes) and the quality is not remastered. Also if the voices are dub you can swith them to japanese on the Domestic ones and they also have about 8 different languages for subtittles. So basically if you pay for the cheap one, you get cheap quality and poor art box.
Also because the quality is poor you might not enjoy the animation that much. The difference is kinda like when you watch a low quality video or a HIGH quality video on youtube or like watching a VHS and a DVD.
