Open Question: My husband and I keep fighting about nonsense..why?

We have been married for 8 years, no kids. My husband goes to work in the morning and he works in retail.. he is so so nice to people all day long. He has some very good customers that come and talk to him, share their life stories, share their emotions, even their problems, and they ask him for advice. I love my husband for that, and how helpful he is to people and he is an amazing man to do that.
But, when he comes home, little things start bothering him, and we end up fighting. He blames me and I blame him. Its complete nonsense. It makes me wonder and kinda get a heartache that why is he not patient with me? If he doesn’t like what I am saying, he will say you are stupid, that is stupid, stop talking. My conversation is not interesting enough for him. It would be just speculating if I say that he does this so he watch netflix in peace and doesn’t need to talk to me. But, that’s just speculating and I don’t think that is fair to him. I realize that couples do argue and bicker..its Ok. But he won’t let it go sometimes, and say I need to change, and I have issues. Not sure what to ask..but is anyone else having problems in their marriage, or going thru similar situation? Thanks for answering and advice.
Vulcan: How did you get kids behavior out of this situation? Married people have problems, issues and a lot of other things. Its not easy being married. It takes time, work, dedication, and patience.
