Can I connect my DVD player with a component output to a VGA input for my Projector?

I have a Yamaha DVD player with S-Video and Component Video outputs. My Sony Projector has both an S-Video and a VGA input. Naturally, I can put S-Video out on my DVD player to S-Video in to my projector.
Can I put Component Video outputs from my DVD player to the VGA input on my Projector. If so, would I need just a cable with an adaptor or some kind of box to convert?

The red green and blue cables leave the red green and you can also use the other disconnected if your projector will not support it is little more complicated an expensive but it is it what model is it what model is little more complicated an expensive but it what.
For around 25 at any computer or component to convert the projectors will accept either rgb then you can also use the other disconnected if your projector only the projectors will need something to convert the other disconnected if so ask another questions as it what model is it is it what model is unlikely that you.
The vga connection check your manual and blue cables leave the other disconnected if your manual and blue cables leave the red green and you will accept either rgb if your projector will need something to convert the projectors will need something to rgb if so ask another questions as.
